WHO IS MCTA

MCTA is Maintenance Construction Technology Alliance and is an Accredited Training Sponsor (ATS) fully accredited entity approved by the National Center for Education and Research (NCCER) as having an accredited training program. The Maintenance and Construction Technology Alliance (MCTA) is a 501 © (3) non- profit corporation established in 2001 and serves the construction and maintenance industries in South Carolina. MCTA’s mission is to provide a quality-trained workforce to meet the needs of the maintenance and construction industries in South Carolina. The Alliance exists to bring forth a closer working relationship among all maintenance and construction industries and related trade associations, and to unite in one voice all stakeholders to increase the quality and number of trained craftspeople. MCTA’s initiatives and projects include teaching construction apprenticeship classes, certifying teachers to teach a national standards-based curriculum, and registering students in the national database to award portable credentials based on national standards.
